Manager, Student Recruitment

LOCATION: Dallas, TX
REPORTS TO: Managing Director, Social Ventures

The Social Ventures team at Per Scholas has launched a new, large-scale, customized training effort and has contracted with a large US-based tech services company to train local talent for in-demand tech roles. We are a small, multi-disciplinary team seeking individuals who can ensure the success of this new initiative.  

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Per Scholas is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented individual to serve as a Manager, Student Recruitment. You will be a key member of Dallas’ Platform team, charged with setting the vision and direction needed to source and recruit students for our customized training courses.  You will engineer and manage the entire student recruitment process while building relationships and networks across Dallas to generate pipeline and ensure successful enrollment rates. You are a creative and driven with an interpersonal savvy that allows you to act as a closer for students interested in advancing in the technology sector. You are creative and driven and demonstrate ease in drawing insights from analytics to achieve goals and outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Identify and influence diverse candidates to apply to and enroll in Platform courses
  • Communicate through multiple channels with diverse audiences to deliver a compelling, engaging message tailored to their motivations and interests
  • Timely and accurately input and utilize data to ensure consistency and relevancy in reporting progress toward recruitment goals
  • Develop the scope and sequence of the interview and selection models
  • Manage and execute special projects and events to bolster student recruitment and enrollment
  • Demonstrate judgment in making tailored referrals for candidates not selected for training courses  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Technical knowledge is preferred:
    • A+ certification
    • Knowledge of networking and programming languages
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel; knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Prior knowledge or background in IT and a passion for technology is a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude and organizational skills
  • Strong follow-up skills
  • Prior knowledge of Per Scholas operations is a plus
  • Experience motivating staff and building capacity in people in a management or supervisory role a plus
