Senior Vice President, Platform Operations



Per Scholas is seeking a Senior Vice President who brings experience leading and growing complex business units with a passion for redefining how companies source tech talent in our country.

Based in New York City, this role will be a critical member of the Platform leadership team. The SVP will lead and develop a team, including Managing Directors, who are responsible for the organization’s revenue-generating activities, through the execution and expansion of our Platform by Per Scholas offering. You will provide vision and leadership, fiscal responsibility and sustainability, budget authority, and operational and program management oversight. 

As SVP, you will lead the strategy development and execution of an innovative partnership model that expands the scope and reach of the organization. This work will incorporate replicating a successful business model and workforce development methodology into new, customized training modules. You will have the opportunity to define the face of a tailored, innovative workforce development approach for the next three years and beyond.


  • Oversee Managing Directors across Platform sites to design and continuously improve operational structure to meet unique need of individual markets
  • Scale national training operations in multiple cities to deliver on corporate contracts to train 1000+ technologists per year to meet clients’ evolving tech talent needs. Growth potential to 2-3k trainees in 3 years
  • Lead development of annual plan including goals, success metrics, and detailed budget
  • Drive operational improvements that enhance the student experience, increase efficiency, and enable expansion
  • Manage operational metrics -- collect, consolidate, and present insights on organizational performance against objectives, proactively highlighting issues and risks, and provide and execute solutions
  • Partner with Finance team to manage key financial indicators 
  • Follow industry trends to inform strategic direction


Professional Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience including:
    • IT, IT talent acquisition, workforce development, or related fields
    • Managing high-performing multidisciplinary teams across a national organization
    • Scaling national business operations and driving significant results
    • Managing budgets, contracts, and external contractors/vendors, with P&L responsibility
    • Developing, negotiating, and understanding complex contracts and partnership agreements
    • Creating and executing strategy involving multiple departments and teams throughout an organization
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time and participate in evening/weekend obligations, as needed
