Reports to: Senior Manager, Employer Partnerships
Location: Brooklyn, NY 


Per Scholas is seeking a Manager, Employer Partnerships to serve as the conduit for our students between our training and their employment. This individual will forge relationships with employers that are committed to hiring multiple Per Scholas graduates for entry-level IT jobs and participate in career development coaching with students. This role is a unique opportunity to raise awareness in the employer community about Per Scholas and to build sustainable diverse talent pipelines between employers and our graduates as well as participate in helping our students advance their careers in technology.

The Manager will oversee a portfolio of accounts and mobilize existing partners to generate new opportunities, while also working to source new clients through strategic outreach. We are looking for an entrepreneurial relationship builder that can balance working independently while collaborating across multiple teams. You will work closely with members of our technical training and career coaching teams to proactively identify candidates to match with open opportunities from our clients.


  • Cultivate professional, working, and consultative relationships with clients
  • Develop a nuanced understanding of the unique business needs of the clients through sector and occupational analysis, and local knowledge gathering
  • Act as the point of contact for your employer accounts
  • Use multiple prospecting strategies to build and solidify partnerships.
  • Support employer partners in onboarding graduates and provide ongoing support as needed and requested.
  • Implement a local strategy with a goal of sustainably securing 5-10 employer accounts who will commit to 10 or more hires annually across multiple business lines, with a focus on job placements in IT and Network Support roles.
  • Work collaboratively across departments including career advancement, technical instruction, admissions, marketing, development, and leadership
  • Facilitate interview-style meetings with currently enrolled students throughout all training tracks to assess work-readiness and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Create awareness of other opportunities for engagement with Per Scholas, including Asset Recovery and Customized Training.
  • Actively record and track client engagements in Salesforce


Professional Qualifications:


  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with others
  • Consultative selling and relationship management skills to drive results with clients
  • Experience developing creative solutions to diverse customer needs


  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent practical experience) plus a minimum of 3 years experience in relationship management, full-cycle sales, or business development.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in career and job development, specifically in job readiness/life skills training, workforce development
  • Experience presenting to senior executives (C-Level), operational managers as well as technical and non-technical staff
  • Project management experience including requirements documents, statements of work and contracts
  • A deep understanding of the IT talent/workforce needs and future growth trends
  • Deep experience working in, or understanding of, unique local community context strongly
  • Demonstrated experience in using Google Suite (GDocs, Spreadsheets, Slides, Gmail) and Salesforce
